Who We Are
Northern Power Electric Service Inc. was founded in 2001 by Marc Archambault. From the beginning, our staff has prided themselves on providing excellent customer and electrical service. No matter the job size or location, our talented technicians will make an effort to find a solution for every customer.
We expanded our service area to Mackinac Island in 2012. Providing residential and commercial customers with the same great service as the Lower Peninsula.
We are expanding further into the Upper Peninsula in 2023. To better serve our customers, Northern Power Electric opened a new St. Ignace office location. We now service all commercial and residential customers from St. Ignace to Munising.
Meet our Leadership
Marc Archambault – President and Owner
Marc founded Northern Power Electric in 2001 in Mancelona, MI. As President and Founder, he provides leadership, direction, and guidance to his team and oversees all company operations. Marc is a Master Electrician, and you will often find him in the field alongside our crews. Marc takes pride in Northern Power’s customer service-oriented approach to conducting business. Marc is a proud International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the National Electrical Contractors Association – Michigan Chapter member. He also contributes to the TBAISD Career-Tech Center School-to-Work Program and numerous local organizations. Marc is proud of Northern Power’s growth to Mackinac Island and into the Upper Peninsula and looks forward to working with you!
Scott Holmes – Operations Manager
Scott joined the Northern Power team in 2002 as a Journeyman Electrician in Mancelona. In 2019 he transitioned into his current role as Northern Power’s Operations Manager. In this position, he oversees the day-to-day operations of our Northern Michigan Division and provides insight to our crews. Scott is a proud International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers member.
John Miller – Estimator and Project Manager – Northern Michigan
John joined the Northern Power team in 2022 as an Estimator and Project manager for the Northern Michigan Division. John completed the Mike Holt Electrical Program through Wilmot Electric earning his Journeyman License. John is a proud International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers member.
Ron Boyle – Estimator and Project Manager – Mackinac Island
Ron joined the Northern Power team in 2019 as an Estimator and Project Manager for our Mackinac Island division. Ron was previously an electrician at Martin Electric and an Estimator and Project Manager at Advantage Electric. Ron is a proud International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers member.
Diane Maier – Accounting and Mancelona Office Manager
Diane manages Northern Power’s Mancelona office and handles all accounting and financial matters. Diane joined the Northern Power team in 2020 and continues to grow in her position. She began her career as an Administrative Assistant for the Treasurer at Mundy Township and has since held a variety of Managerial positions.
Carrie Filan – HR and Payroll Manager
Carrie joined the Northern Power team in 2023 and heads our Human Resources and Payroll departments. She has many years of experience in the construction industry and is a great addition to the team. Carrie works out of the Mancelona office but works closely with all our employees in all service areas.
Rene Maier – Marketing and Office Assistant
Rene manages Northern Power’s marketing and branding efforts and assists with new business opportunities. She joined the Northern Power team in 2021 as Northern Power Electric Racing’s PR Manager and transitioned to the Northern Power Electric side in 2023. She primarily works out of the Mancelona office, but you’ll likely find her at our St. Ignace and Mackinac Island locations from time to time.
